Parents and blessings
« on: February 20, 2013, 02:46:24 PM »

Whenever i quarrel with my mother or i disagree with her, she tells me, ok, do what you want but know this, you will never be happy because i have not willed it for you. So i ask, yes, we are supposed to obey our parents but they too are human, they are judgmental, annoying and can as well be wrong. If you choose do to otherwise, when you feel it is the right thing to do, will you never really be happy because your parents did not like it? Is God really like that, that He will punish us because our parents like different things from us and we choose to do what makes us happy?

It all goes back to the individual because there is life outside our parents and there not going to be there always for us. Please, it is better sometimes to think about your self first before making others happy.

When ever you think that what you are doing is right and makes you benefit yet your parents are refusing you, go for it because later, they will appreciate it.

God cannot punish one for doing the good thing so long as the parent's idea is very wrong. But if your parent tells you to do the good thing which is worthy being, then, God has the reason to punish you.

Its not good to reach an extent of quarreling with parents at least that big respect should remain. I know they make many wrongs but need to talk politely if things fail , do what you feel is right later they will realize you were on the right truck
