women usually want the man to pop the question but, if he takes long, would you ask him to marry you instead?

I think i would but not in a direct way like marry me dear.. some men can be stubborn and take long to propose.

yes i would, especially if i see no way out. if he is taking long and it seems like he has commitment issues, i will ask him directly and if he is undecided, that would be my cue out of the relationship. on the other hand, if it is solely for love, i would do it just to make him happy. some men like it when their women are bold, if he is the kind of guy, i am sure he will be taken and if his ego does not allow, he will then propose, as tradition demands.

NO, a very big no.  He is the  one  who is supposed to tell me . It's a man  always to take the first move in Africa,  but some people can do it the other way round .

I think it is OK to ask him. Some men do not know what they want and somehow need to be pushed a little bit.

I think there is no problem for a lady to ask for Marriage because she also needs to know her stand with that man. So Mary, Pray that your man sees only you because there is any body else she might take every thing when your still waiting for him.

Issues of nature don't apply especially when it comes to relationships since any one can make a move. In most cases, men make first move in getting courtship but it is the lady to prose him to marry her because we men in most cases, we are relaxed with issues of marriage
