The Arab League Monitors withdrawal from Syria due to violence

Is it right for the Arab League Monitors to withdraw from Syria because of the escalating Violence due to their presence?
I think that it was part of the deal to make peace in Syria. It would be a very great mistake to leave at a point when they would be making tireless efforts to make everlasting peace in Syria than looking at the mockery they are facing at the moment due to the increased death in their presence.
