Does love need proving?

Many women say their men have to 'prove' that they love them. Is it a must to prove that you love someone? If so, how?

Love is not measurable and therefore women who want their men to prove that they love them are wasting time.

it all depends on the kind of prove...for example, I would prove to some one I love by committing my self to him.

Love needs proving because some of these people pretend to love yet they actually do not

Proving is very important like when you are with  : his friends ,in public places , his relatives he should prove that he loves u by introducing u to them especially when you are not yet  married .

Love is natural and automatic which does not need to force for approval and once you pressurize your man to prove your are going to force them do things which are unbecoming.

@Mahaja, i do not mean in money terms, i mean if you say you love me, then i guess you have to show me that you do because like Nglenn said, people say they love someone but when they do not. A person should be able to prove that he/she loves his/her partner.

Sometimes  yes , because  you can love  someone  thinking  that  she/he is also doing  the same  but end up being disappointed  and wasting time for nothing, so its better to prove first  before continuing.

It wouln't  need  to, for it should be real but  sometimes it very necessary because we were brought  up differently  and therefore  we behave in  unique ways  which can sometimes  fail others  to understand   their  friends.

Sometimes yes, when  one of  the partners is  not  so sure  about  the relationship and everything  seems  to be putting him/her off.
